Autumn is here, the red grape harvest has started. The big summer festivities are coming to an end but there will be many events not to be missed in October. Whether you are a sportsman, a wine lover, an antique or an art enthusiast, there will be something for everyone this month. And if you want to enjoy the last glimpse of summer, we have selected for you the top terraces in Bordeaux and in the vineyards.
October 20th & 21st 2023
Immerse yourself in the great autumn bath as you savour all the delights of this season in the heart of Les Chartrons, during the Fête du Vin Nouveau & de la brocante.
A perfect opportunity to discover the Chartrons district, famous for its flea markets. In a friendly atmosphere, visit the famous flea market, look up and discover the cultural richness of this district in harmony with its history, share a few steps of dancing, taste the new wine accompanied by delicious hot chestnuts, discover local specialities in the charming restaurants of Chartrons, or hunt for hidden gems in one of the Antique shops...!
All weekend long: Antiques and professional antique dealers in the street and shops, restaurants and street artists.
October 20th - 22nd 2023
Every morning at 8am, and in the evening at 5:30pm, it is time for hot air balloons to take off in Saint-Emilion. Visit the website of the Saint-Emilion Tourism Office.
The success of this event is growing, thanks to the show offered by the group of 15 hot-air balloons, the generally favourable weather in October, and the activities designed for all generations that accompany the flights.

From Saint-Pardon de Conques to the Jalle de Blanquefort, a few kilometres north of Bordeaux, along the Garonne river, the Graves region extends its 3500 hectares of vines. It is on these exceptional territories, resulting from a long and complex geological history, that we invite you to discover the world of Vins des Graves during the Open House weekend.
This event has conquered visitors year after year and will celebrate its 20th anniversary! On this occasion, 69 winegrowers of the appellation will open their properties to you to let you discover the other side of the coin at the end of the harvest, but above all to meet the men and women who work with know-how and passion to create the great Graves wines that we know today, whether they are red, white or sweet.
